Anne Beim is Full Professor in Architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture (KADK). She holds an M.Arch. and a PhD in Architecture from KADK, and has studied under Professor Marco Frascari and Professor David Leatherbarrow at University of Pennsylvania as part of her PhD. She is Head of CINARK - Centre for Industrialized Architecture, which serves to bridge the gap between the architectural education, construction industry, and the architectural profession. Since 2014 she has Co-chaired the Graduate Program; Settlement, Ecology and Tectonics. From 2008-2010 she chaired the Architecture Committee of the Danish Arts Foundation and since 2013 she has chaired the Admission Board of the Architects Association in Denmark. Research focus: how architectural ideas transform into constructions; defined as building culture and tectonics. The topics are: the ecological dimension, architectural challenges of the construction industry, and the architectural qualities found in materials, construction principles and detailing. Books she has authored/co-authored are: Towards an Ecology of Tectonics: The Need for Rethinking Construction in Architecture (2014), Building the Future: Visions in Industrialised Housing 1970 - 2001 (2012), Three Ways of Assembling a House (2009), Tectonic Visions in Architecture (2004), and Ecology & Architectural Quality (2002). |

Fernando A. Branco is full professor of Civil Engineering at IST-Lisbon University and Past President of the Civil Engineering Department. He is President of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE), Honorary Senator of the European Economic Forum (EWIF), Past-President of the European Council of Civil Engineers (ECCE) and Past-President of Portuguese Association of Structural Engineers (APEE). He has co-authored 14 books and over 300 scientific papers. He has been consultant for major Public Works in Portugal like the S. João Bridge (world longest railway span in cantilever construction), Macau-Taipa Bridge (in China) and Vasco da Gama Bridge (the longest in Europa).

Hugo Corres Peiretti graduated as a Civil Engineer in 1977, and in 1981 obtained his PhD, both from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He is also a Doctor Honnoris Causa from the Technical University of Bratislava in 2002. Hugo is a Full Professor of Structural Concrete and Conceptual Design at the School of Civil Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, since 1993. He is fib President, and a former President of ACHE, Spanish Structural Concrete Scientific Association. Professor Corres was a member of the Project team of Eurocode 2; Concrete Structures; a member of fib Special Activity Group 5, for Model Code for Concrete Structures 2010; member of several Spanish Codes Committees; author of several articles and books. Founder and President of FHECOR Ingenieros Consultores, S.A, since 1979; and designer of many concrete and steel bridges and of a large number of major building. |

Lisha Ren is Associate Professor in College of Design and Innovation, Tongji University, Shanghai. She holds a Ph.D in History and Theory of Architecture from College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP), Tongji University in 2010. Since then, she has co-chaired the industrial design program for undergraduate students at the College of Design and Innovation in Tongji. Her research interests are mainly on Design History, Bridge Aesthetics and Bridge Landscape. She was a visiting scholar in several universities, such as IUAV, VIU in Italy and Lehigh University in U.S.A., UBC in Canada. She authored "Footbridge as Art" in 2015. She also published many papers in a variety of international and national design journals and conferences, such as IASDR, DRS, Cumulus, International Footbridge Conference, etc. In 2015 she established the Research Lab of Genealogy of Design History in Tongji University to explore the status of design history and development of material culture, which play an important role in genealogy of design history and dynamics research based on data mining and information visualization. |

Born in Paris in 1973 and lives and works in Marseille, France. Whether with monumental cardboard buildings or with flying bridges and structures he tries to reverse the balance of forces. In his ephemeral projects he changes the meaning of materials and situations producing utopian architectures, childhood dreams and collective performances. His artistic work tries to live the dream and poetry in our daily lives. Using the game with a false naivety, he confronts a given query for future laws (both physical and social).One way to grab the image of power with materials considered derisory and rejected in industrial quantities. Famous for building huge cardboard structures - from Marseille to Sydney – using thousands of cardboard boxes and kilometres of masking tape and inviting the public to assemble them using only human power without using any crane or machine. |
